Community College Stem Scholarship Opportunity 2010-2011Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) encourages talented individuals to pursue academic studies and careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The VSGC provides scholarships of $1,500 to students majoring in STEM at any Virginia Community College and demonstrating an interest in a career related to aerospace and NASA’s mission.
Nominations open for Hispanic Research Issues SIG in Research in Elementary, Secondary or Postsecondary Education AwardCALL FOR NOMINATIONS. The Hispanic Research Issues SIG is requesting nominations for its Research in Elementary, Secondary or Postsecondary Education Award 2010 to be presented at the 2010 AERA Annual Meeting in Denver to recognize outstanding research in Hispanic Issues in Education. Valued will be research using any type of methodology or paradigms which represent research contributions in elementary, secondary, or postsecondary levels of education pertaining to Hispanic/Latino issues and concerns. Self nominations are encouraged. Members may submit more than one nomination.
Virginia Space Grant Consortium Announces 2010-2011 Scholarship and Fellowship Opportunities!The Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) is pleased to announce the 2010–2011 Scholarship and Fellowship Program. Each academic year the VSGC awards over $300,000 in scholarships and fellowships to students attending Virginia Space Grant member institutions and majoring in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) field.

Four members of VALHEN’s Board of Directors were there and a token gift was presented to the Governor in appreciation for his support of the organization during his tenure.
